Acceptance of Terms +
By accessing and using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please refrain from using the website.
Holiday Opening Hours +
I will be away from the studio from the 20th December 2026 - 5th January 2027 and any orders placed during this period will be processed the week of the 6th January.
Product Availability & Delivery +
For standard Royal Mail 2nd Class delivery the Product(s) can be expected within 4 - 6 working days when in stock** unless otherwise stated. If the item is not in stock you will be informed via phone or email about delivery times and have the option to cancel the order.

For Royal Mail 1st Class delivery the Product(s) can be expected within 2 - 3 working days when in stock* unless otherwise stated. "Working days" are defined as Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm and exclude bank holidays.

Unfortunately we can only accept deliveries WITHIN the UK at this time.
​
Due to the value of the goods, for orders over £50 we use a sign-for delivery service. If you have any special delivery instructions please input these at checkout.

Shipping will be calculated at checkout.

Due to paintings being one-off originals, there may be a delay in updating the availability of the item if the item has been sold elsewhere. In the event that a painting is no longer available, but you have placed an order online, a full refund will be issued and you will be notified as soon as possible.

Christmas Delivery
For all items excluding work that requires framing, the final order date for guaranteed delivery in time for Christmas is 17th December 2026.

Ownership +
Ownership of the Product(s)/Artwork(s) will only pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the Product(s)/Artwork(s), including delivery charges. Copyright of the Product(s)/Artwork(s) remains the property of William Watson-West.
Price & Payment +
All prices are displayed in UK pounds Sterling and are inclusive of VAT. The price of any Products/Artworks will be as quoted on our site, except in cases of obvious error. These exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due at online checkout. Prices of paintings may be subject to change. Prices of paintings do not include framing, unless otherwise stated. Where a painting is framed or bought framed this is based on a frame as chosen by William Watson-West.
Any changes to framing as desired by the customer will be subject to an extra cost and will only be completed once full payment is received. Payment for all Products must be by credit or debit card via our card payment provider STRIPE managed through Wix Store or through PayPal or through Apple Pay. Payments for Artwork, where online payment is unavailable, may be arranged in person where other payment options are available.
Returns Policy +
We will exchange products within 14 days of receipt of the item if you are not entirely satisfied. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. Refunds will be issued upon receipt of the Product(s) in good condition. Products returned by you because of a defect will be exchanged as soon as possible and you will be refunded the cost incurred by you in returning the item to us. Please send all returns to:

"Painting Answers" (Product Specific) +
All of the above Terms and Conditions apply apart from whereby the following Terms and Conditions negate them:
William will aim to complete the painting and dispatch it within 5 - 10 working days following the receipt of the answers from either the purchaser or gift recipient.
Due to the nature of this product being bespoke and made to order, you may request changes to your submitted answers free of charge for 48 hours after your order is placed, provided production has not yet started. Once work has begun on the piece, refunds, returns, and exchanges cannot be offered other than in the circumstances set out below.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights. If your painting arrives damaged, faulty, or not matching the answers you submitted, please contact me within 14 days of delivery with photographs of the item and its packaging, and I will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. To request an amendment within the window above, or to report a damaged or faulty item, please contact me at william@watsonwest.com quoting your order number.

"Bespoke Paintings" (Create Your Painting) +
All of the above Terms and Conditions apply apart from whereby the following Terms and Conditions negate them:
My bespoke paintings are made to order according to each customer's individual specifications (including but not limited to size, colour palette, wording, and framing). As these items are personalised and made specifically for you, they are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and I am unable to offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once production has begun, other than in the circumstances set out below.

Amendment window: You may request changes to your order specifications (size, colours, wording, or framing) free of charge for 48 hours after your order is placed, provided production has not yet started. Once I have begun painting your commission, I am unable to accept changes or cancellations.

Faulty or damaged items: This policy does not affect your statutory rights. Disclaimer (colours) +
Whilst every effort has been made to match the colour of items displayed on our website to the Product/Artwork in its physical form, colours may differ slightly from the images on the website/ display on your monitor. William Watson-West cannot be held liable for minor differences.
The intensity of colours in Artworks/Products may fade over time; this is a natural process. Keep out of direct sunlight to minimise the risk of fading. William Watson-West cannot be held liable for the deterioration of Artworks/Products over time.
Greetings Cards Disclaimer +
Product details may vary depending on the print run of the item being sold. This primarily refers to the reverse of some of our greetings cards where the branding has changed slightly on some cards. Images shown on our online shop are as accurate as possible, but there may be some variation amongst individual products.
Although we ensure every product is produced to the highest of standards, due to the nature of printing there may be inherent flaws in some of the prints. William Watson-West cannot be held liable for any minor flaws within the print or, where this applies, the fabric/material itself.
Greetings Cards Packaging +
Our latest batches of greetings cards are packaged individually in compostable, biodegradable and recyclable NATIVIA® bio-based film. This Polylactic Acid (PLA) film is an industrially compostable (according to the European standard EN 13432) packaging solution made from renewable raw materials. The bags should be placed with your garden waste or food waste if your Council does the relevant collections.
Our older greetings card packaging, which is still in use for some of our items, is made from BOPP film and although not biodegradable, is recyclable.
