William graduated from Edinburgh College of Art (Edinburgh University) in 2011 with a Degree in Printed Textiles and has since continued to produce artworks and designs. In December 2011 William had his debut painting exhibition at 108 Fine Art, Harrogate. He has since exhibited at Zillah Bell Gallery, Thirsk, the Mercer Art Gallery, Harrogate in the Harrogate Open Exhibition, Watermark Gallery, Silson Contemporary amongst other various shows and events. He continues to exhibit throughout North Yorkshire with a selection of work currently on show at both Zillah Bell Gallery and Chantry House Gallery.

William has previously had his work shortlisted for the prestigious New Light Art Prize and was the recent winner of the Best Picture Award at the 20th Anniversary Ilkley Art Show.
